The Club

The premise.

GAMBIT brings a small group together in Chicago once a month to play.

A board is a good reason for two strangers to sit down. The rest of the evening follows on its own.

Membership is by invitation.

The Room

Who's here.

Individuals who'd rather spend a Tuesday this way than at a bar. Founders and writers, painters and doctors, lawyers and people midway through building something. The common thread isn't the work — it's that they're making something of their evenings.

Chess ability is not the point. A board is simply a better reason to sit with a stranger for an hour than standing near them holding a drink.

Come to network and you'll find it slow going. Come to meet two or three people worth knowing, and you'll do well.
